Passport Renewal

The Passport Renewal application process is for individuals:
- whose passport is in possession and undamaged
- whose prior passport was issued at age 16 older
- whose prior passport was issued less than 15 years ago
Passports must also be renewed if:
- it is more than one year old and still valid, and the applicant needs to change the name in their passport
- to extend a 1 year, temporary passport that is extendable
- to make any sort of amendment in a passport (incorrect/changed information)
In order to apply please follow the instructions:
STEP 1 - Gather US Passport Application Materials
- 2 copies of Letter of Authorization (2 copies)
- Letter of Authorization Form(age 18 and older)
- Letter of Authorization Form(age 17 and younger)
- Order Form
- Two Passport Photos
- Most Recent Passport
- Proof of Identity
- A Photocopy of the applicant's Valid Driver's License, issued more than 6 months ago.
- One Copy of the Government DS-82 - "Application for Passport By Mail"
- Fill out all of the fields on the form.
- You MUST fill out this application electronically, and then print and sign the resulting form.
- Letter requesting early renewal (if applicable).
- Only needed if renewing passport more than a year before expiration. Should be addressed to US Department of State, and explain specifically why you need a passport renewed early. Valid resons include dramatic change in appearance, extended trip abroad, etc.
- Official Name Change Documentation (if applicable).
- Renewal applicants whose name has changed must submit the official document(s) indicating name change. These include

- Marriage certificates
- Divorce decrees (specifically stating name change)
- Court papers
- The Passport Agency does not accept photocopies of any of these forms; official documents will be returned with passport.
- Fees
- $245 for 7 Business Day Processing, payment includes fee to Department of State, return shipping and handling, and our service fee.
- $395 for 24 Hour Passport Processing, payment includes fee to Department of State, return shipping and handling, and our service fee.
- The federal government requires that we submit your application within 5 business days of it having been sealed. If your envelope was authorized more than two days ago, please call us for instructions. Consider our Rush Service for faster processing.
- Ship materials at "next day" delivery speed, using an expedited, trackable service (FedEx, UPS, ES Express Mail, etc.); you should track the package coming to us.

Note: Applicants age 16 or 17 without a valid, 6 month old driver's license, can have a parent co-sign the application. In this case, a birth certificate proving parental relationship is required for the application.
